Few Nail care Tips!

Hi Everyone,

I am putting a few nail care tips for you all.

Do let me know if you like them :) Nail care tips taken from http://beauty.iloveindia.com
Please refer website for more details.

  • To harden soft nails, soak them in warm olive oil for about 20 minutes, on alternate days.
  • To remove stains from your nails, mix one tablespoon of lemon juice in a cup of water and soak your nails in this liquid for a few minutes. Then, wash off with warm water and apply a hand moisturizer.
  • It is not a good idea to remove the cuticles from your nails, as it will make the nail susceptible to infection. Rather, you should make use of good quality cuticle oil and gently push back the cuticles, with the help of an orangewood stick or cuticle pusher.
  • Try to stay away from acetone polish removers as much as you can and stick to the one that make use of acetate. Still, try not to use a polish remover more than once a week.
  • In case you wear nail polish, make sure to give your nails a break from time to time. In other words leave them without polish for a few days, every now and then. Otherwise, they will develop an ugly, yellow tint.
  • If you want to give a natural sheen to your nails, just like the colorless base coat, rub petroleum jelly on your nails and then buff them, with the help of a soft cloth.
  • Never ever resort to nail biting, as it is extremely destructive for the nails as well as the cuticles. If you are in the habit of biting your nails, drop it as soon as possible.
  • Whenever you wash your hands, while bathing as well as otherwise, make sure to dry the nails properly and apply a hand cream or lotion, using it on the nails as well. This is because soap makes the nails dry and brittle.
  • The best time to file your nails is when you are already wearing a polish. This will prevent splitting or breaking of nails.
  • If you have brittle nails, it is advisable to wear a nail polish, or at least the colorless base coat, as much as you can.

I am hooked on to online shopping!

Hi Everyone,

The time has changed so much and internet has made our lives so much easier.
With Google providing us any and every information, I have become very dependent on the technology.
I learned Painting through the internet, whereas I had no idea about it before, kept watching videos reading articles and subscribing to various channels to enhance my knowledge.Major problems were how do we get hold of material and how do we come to know which place to go and get that from.
Now its just easy, there are so many websites that keep having promotional offers, newsletters from the companies informing about the latest products etc.We don't even need to go physically and get the stuff.
We get the delivery at our home! so no bothering about traffic anymore!
Best is, these companies even offer exchange or refund facility.
I just keep ordering stuff, I can compare the features, check reviews, compare prices, all just at click of a button.
I think my life has become so much better with these companies being into existence. To think about it, we were all in a different world a decade back!
I just love online shopping, as I use that time more efficiently, which I save in travelling to the stores and buying stuff.

Few Memories during my experience as a Cabin Crew!

Hello Everyone,

While I was down my memory lane I just thought why not share few experiences with you all..
I think one place I really fell in love with is Paris!
It was my first trip and the set of crew with me were awesome.
After a full flight load and a busy day we all reached our hotel, received our room keys and allowance for the trip.(That was usually the best part about flying!)We all had decided that we will step out of our hotel rooms after 2 hours and go for sight seeing in Paris.
So after freshening up, I took a nap for 30 minutes and got ready. We all met at the lobby, carried a map and ticked the places we wanted to see.
I was very excited and joined the group.I would definitely call that day of mine as a walkathon!
We were walking throughout the day and covered all the areas like Notre Dame, Louvre, Eiffel Tower, the street of Champs Elysees , Arc de Triomphe , Place de la Concorde and others.

The last destination was the Eiffel Tower before we had to walk on the street of Champs Elysees to get back to our hotel.
I was so excited so I continued to walk, but by the time we all were near the Eiffel Tower, there was no energy left in me after a long flight, long walk and minimum sleep.I literally begged my crew members to leave me and carry on, but they said that we all came together and would go back together. They all were willing to leave without seeing the Eiffel Tower! I thought that I shouldn't be the one to spoil the trip, so I just continued walking with them and told them that I can carry on for a few more hours. The view absolutely stunned me and I completely forgot that I was drained out.I just fell in love with the place and could have spent hours there. Especially the during the night when they actually lit the whole monument with beautiful Golden color.

We were all very sad to leave because we all enjoyed the place so much and didn't want to go back to the hotel. But we had no choice as we had to be well rested before we operate the next flight. So we bid farewell to the Eiffel tower and walked back through the streets of Champs Elysees. Again the beautiful city has captured my interest and I thought one can never have enough of Paris.

The street was well lit as if it was Christmas, all big branded stores, you name it and they are there, the little cafe's and restaurants were very cozy and mostly all were full.

At that very moment, I had decided that I would definitely want to come back here and there would be no better occasion than my honeymoon! The place is just so ROMANTIC!

After having a meal at one of the restaurants we all headed back to the hotel. As soon as I entered my room,
I was so tired that I crashed in the bath tub while soaking my feet to relieve myself from the feet ache I had.

The experience was worth every step I walked, if I may recall they were some 8 -9 LONG HOURS on the streets of Paris which we all covered in one day since we did not have much time.I guess we all had 4-5 hours before we reported for our flight.

We all left the city with fond memories and had a good time with the set of crew (we would or would not meet for long). We all thanked and hugged each other as soon as we reached back to base and were happy that we made new friends :)

I would like to conclude that I did visit the city again after I quit flying and yes, that was during my honeymoon. And me and my husband fell in love with Paris!

Cabin Crew to a Nail Tech!

Hi Everyone,

This is my first ever blog! I honestly have NO IDEA about blogging, have not followed any blogs and do not know the basics about it.

So I just thought why not share some experiences with you all.

I am a self taught Nail Artist, who hasn't  been to any classes and got my entire knowledge by watching videos on You Tube, browsing the Internet and continuous practice.I used to be a Cabin Crew before I took up nail extensions and nail art as my main profession. With years of practice, I now have become a professional and do nail art and extensions for my clients on a regular basis including nails for any special occasion or themed nail art.

While I was working as a Cabin Crew, It was just by chance that I once visited a nail salon with my friend and she introduced me to the concept of Nail Extensions.I was quite fascinated by it and enjoyed getting them done very often. But to be honest, I used to find them very expensive.
Hence, the thought of learning it myself whenever I get time!

I am planning on writing about latest trends, nail care tips and nail art designs on my blog.

So keep visiting the blog for a new and interesting information every now and then!
